Um, hi, yeah, so, I'm kinda stoked about Madonna and Lourdes' new clothing line. And it seems that sketches from their "Material Girl" line have suddenly surfaced! Summer Scarves!

I recently started digging scarves for summer. You know - those incredibly thin, dainty, prettily-adorned, long scarves you can wrap around your neck in many many circles? I love pairing them with white tees or denim. They give off an instant air of fashionista. Throw in aviators and an oversized bag and you're cool cool cool.

Totally Taupe

Lately, while riding the subway, I've noticed many women carrying taupe-colored handbags. First one, then another, then more. Typically made of rich leather, the handbags I've seen are plush, roomy, and summery chic. The fashionable riders have inspired me to showcase some of my favorite taupe (or close to the color taupe) handbags below (I might even have to invest in one, soon). These are all under $100!

Barnes & Noble/Lilly Pulitzer Collaboration

A little fashion update for all of you book lovers out there (sort of random/unexpected news, but still exciting). Barnes & Noble (yes, "the world's largest bookseller") just announched "its new designer collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer for accessories for its popular NOOK..." This is a "first time partnership" and the collaboration will feature totes and cases. Literary chic!

Light and Refreshing

My new thing is light, airy, breathable shirts. I'm so over ultra tailored tops. For summer, I need to be able to EXHALE. I'm loving the variety of ethereal, flowy, drapy, simple creations out there. (And I'm always looking for something work-appropriate.) Here are some of my finds:






Love21 Contemporary has a slew of perfectly perfect simple summery tops. I'm in love with practically everything the line offers -- it's minimalist chic!





The Simply Vera line at Kohl's (by the amazing Vera Wang) includes lots of delicate tops that drape and move.





Target's Mossimo Black Tissue Tees are a staple of mine. I love wearing them to work with pants. They are the most comfortable t-shirts ever, and the material has a bit of that lux factor.
